2008 Hunter 36

Spindrift is a 2008 Hunter 36 sailing yacht built in fiberglass with a 12-foot beam. The boat features a fractional rig with swept-back spreaders, reverse diagonals, and mast support struts for strength without requiring a backstay. The mainsail uses a large roach design for power and versatility across wind conditions. A roller-furling jib completes the sail plan. The deck includes an integrated arch, Bimini, and dodger protecting the cockpit, with a custom helm console housing single-lever engine controls, GPS, and radio. An aft swim platform with walkthrough transom includes a shower and folding ladder. A fold-down table with storage rounds out cockpit amenities.

Below deck, the two-cabin, two-head layout prioritizes storage and livable space. Reverse-cycle HVAC provides heating and cooling throughout. The galley and saloon are designed to maximize usable area with integrated storage solutions.

The Yanmar diesel engine produces 38 hp and has logged just 100 hours since replacement. A new cutlass bearing was recently installed. The mainsail is two years old and in good condition; the jib features roller furling recently installed on the jib stay. A new battery charger, macerator pump, and electric toilet are aboard. The propeller is equipped with growth-control technology to prevent fouling. Cruising speed runs 6.5 knots with a maximum speed of 7.5 knots.
