The 2008 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39i is a proven cruising sailboat built on a successful design that balances comfortable accommodation with solid sailing performance. At nearly 39 feet with a beam of 12.7 feet, she offers the generous interior volume and excellent natural light characteristic of the class, combined with practical deck arrangements suited to both coastal and offshore cruising.
The interior follows a three-cabin, one-head layout with a spacious saloon, practical galley, and generous storage throughout. Fresh water capacity stands at 355 liters and fuel capacity at 130 liters, supporting extended cruising. The yacht is fitted with a 5 kW heating system, updated cockpit cushions, bimini, and sprayhood. A Seastorm tender with Honda outboard engine is included.
Substantial recent work has been completed throughout. New standing rigging and running rigging were installed in 2025, along with new Ullman full-batten mainsail and jib. A Yanmar 3JH4E diesel engine producing 41 hp powers the yacht to a cruising speed of 6 knots and maximum speed of approximately 9 knots; comprehensive engine maintenance was performed during 2025 and 2026. A Quick 1500W electric windlass was installed in 2026. Hull scraping and antifouling have been completed, with no known structural issues reported.
Navigation and electrical systems have been comprehensively upgraded. The electronics suite includes a Raymarine Axiom 9 chartplotter, ST70 autopilot, ST60 depth instruments, AIS 700 Class B transceiver, and Ray54 VHF radio. Power management features a 324 Ah lithium service battery bank with Victron management systems, a 2000W inverter, DC/DC charger, and MPPT controller, supported by 640 watts of solar panels. These upgrades create an efficient and self-sufficient onboard power solution.
