2008 Lagoon 440

This 2008 Lagoon 440 is a three-cabin catamaran built in fiberglass with a beam of 25 feet, providing the wide platform typical of the design. Powered by two 54-horsepower Yammer diesel engines fitted with upgraded SD60 saildrives and three-blade folding propellers, the boat is built for both fuel efficiency and reliable cruising. The yacht has been owned by one person since new and has never been chartered.

The layout centers on a raised helm station with 360-degree visibility and all control lines positioned within immediate reach. The design accommodates easy maneuvering even with a reduced crew. Forward of the helm is the iconic open cockpit; below deck are three private cabins and three heads. The saloon and accommodations benefit from air conditioning and diesel heating throughout.

Systems and equipment reflect years of thoughtful upgrading and expansion. An eight-battery house bank powers an inverter and isolation transformer. Fresh water comes from an onboard watermaker. Power generation includes a diesel generator, solar panels mounted on a custom targa arch, and a wind turbine. Navigation and communication equipment was updated in 2012 and includes a full electronics suite with radar and chartplotter, along with Starlink connectivity. A 2022 mainsail, bowsprit, and parasailor complete the sail inventory. Additional features include a washer-dryer, custom-built cockpit grill at the wetbar, and a generator. Engine hours remain low for the boat's age.
