2016 Lagoon 450

The 2016 Lagoon 450 is a 45-foot fiberglass catamaran designed for extended cruising and charter operations. Twin Yanmar 4JH57 diesel engines deliver 57 horsepower each through saildrives, with approximately 3,300 hours on the engines. The boat cruises at 7 knots and reaches 9 knots at full speed. She carries a mainsail and genoa, both of which are nearing replacement and should be budgeted accordingly.

The four-cabin, four-head layout provides distinct spaces for private and guest accommodations, with flexible use of forward cabins for crew quarters or storage. A flybridge helm position offers commanding sightlines for sailing and motoring. The interior benefits from a 2025 saloon cabin sole replacement with modern laminate flooring. Climate control includes five Dometic reverse-cycle air conditioning units and a Cummins Onan 13.5kW generator. A watermaker produces 23 gallons per hour, supporting extended passages.

Deck and exterior upgrades completed in 2025 include an oversized custom hardtop Bimini, synthetic teak decking on aft steps and high-traffic areas, and recovered exterior cushions in durable grey leatherette. Four solar panels with inverter and charger system provide auxiliary power. The standing rigging was renewed in 2018 following the original mast replacement and associated fiberglass repairs. Reinforced Lagoon bulkheads contribute to structural integrity throughout the hull.
