This 2008 Lagoon 500 catamaran is the five-cabin configuration, spanning just over 51 feet with a beam of 28 feet. The fiberglass hull employs vacuum-bagged construction for strength and light weight. Twin Yanmar 4JH80 diesel engines provide 80 horsepower each, paired with new SP60 saildrives installed in 2022.
Accommodation consists of five guest cabins plus a separate skipper cabin, sleeping up to 12 people total. The layout includes a spacious salon, cockpit with flybridge seating, and a full galley. All cabins and the salon have been refitted with updated interiors. Air conditioning throughout was overhauled in 2023. The galley is equipped with modern appliances including refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and ice maker.
Between 2020 and 2025, the boat underwent extensive systems work. A new Cummins Onan 17.5 kW generator was overhauled in 2025, along with a 180 l/h watermaker. Service batteries totaling 1200 Ah gel capacity were replaced in 2025. Solar panels (2 × 330 W) were added in 2021. The complete mast and rigging were replaced in 2021, with new fully battened mainsail and furling genoa, plus a new lazy bag in 2024. New teak decking was installed on the cockpit, flybridge, stern and transoms in 2023, along with a stainless steel bimini and new exterior cushions and sunbeds in 2024.
Propulsion and cruising equipment include a Mantus M2 anchor (39 kg) from 2023 and a Highfield 380 CL tender with a 15 hp Tohatsu outboard engine from 2021. The boat has been professionally serviced annually and hauled out over winter for storage.
