2008 Pogo 8.50

The Pogo 8.50 is a fast, seaworthy sailing yacht built in 2008, known for strong performance both offshore and coastal cruising. Measuring 27.89 feet with a beam of 11.81 feet and a draft of 1.75 meters, the boat combines a spacious cockpit with a bright, functional interior. Powered by a Volvo MD-20 diesel engine with 750 hours, it has been professionally maintained and remains ready to sail.

Recent rigging work includes replacement of the standing rigging in 2022 and a new sail drive seal in 2024. The sail inventory comprises a mainsail, two jibs, one symmetrical spinnaker with carbon pole, two gennakers with one on a furler, and a trysail. A Volvo MD-20 diesel engine with 750 hours provides propulsion, with the heat exchanger cleaned as part of ongoing maintenance.

The boat carries a complete NKE navigation system, autopilot with hydraulic actuator and wireless remote, fixed VHF radio with AIS reception, radar detector, and Wifi connectivity. Power comes from one original solar panel, two batteries installed in 2022, battery charger, and 220V shore power. An electric windlass with remote control handles ground tackle. One-person sea survival kit and four-person safety equipment are aboard, with the next service due in February 2027.

Accommodations include six berths, a large saloon with navigation table, galley with two-burner gas stove and sink, and one head. A 220/12V refrigerator and additional storage support extended cruising.
