This 2008 Sabre 42 Hard Top Express is a fiberglass downeast cruiser powered by twin Cummins diesel engines producing 850 horsepower. Built for extended coastal cruising, the boat features a hard top design with an enclosed helm, joystick control system, and a spacious single-cabin layout with one head.
Recent updates and refits include a flag blue Awlgrip hull applied in 2021, upgraded Garmin electronics with a custom helm pod designed to integrate them, and new lower units on the Zeus drives. Additional work completed in recent years encompasses new transmission coolers installed in 2024, replacement cabin and helm deck air conditioning units, new start batteries from 2023, and an updated sump pump system. The head hose was replaced in 2021.
The exterior varnish remains in excellent condition, and the aft enclosure has been updated. Salon dimmers were also upgraded. The helm station is purpose-built around the Garmin system, supporting modern navigation and systems control.
