2008 Sunreef 62

The Sunreef 62 is a performance catamaran built in composite, launched in 2008 as hull #25 and constructed to CE and MCA standards. With a beam of over 30 feet and a length of 62 feet, she combines cruising range with living space. Twin Yanmar 110 hp diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of 8 knots and maximum speed of 12 knots. The boat has completed four transatlantic crossings and carries a comprehensive suite of navigation electronics including Raymarine chartplotters, autopilot, radar, AIS, and SSB radio, along with Starlink internet and satellite television.

The interior is finished in cherry wood with warm, nautical styling throughout. Five cabins accommodate owners and guests: a full-beam master stateroom with en-suite shower and separate workspace, a VIP cabin with en-suite facilities, two forward guest cabins each with en-suite heads, and dedicated crew forepeaks. The main salon spans the boat's width with panoramic windows, dining for eight, and a forward-facing navigation station. A full galley with gas cooker, dishwasher, wine cooler, and dual refrigeration opens to the salon through a custom bar area. Five heads and comprehensive freshwater systems, including two watermakers, support extended voyaging.

Extensive refitting between 2022 and 2023 included new carbon mast and boom with full standing and running rigging, a fresh suit of Incidence and Hydranet sails, renewed teak decks throughout, upgraded plumbing with hot water and filtration, modern electrical architecture with 24V service batteries and solar panels, and MCA-compliant safety equipment including liferafts and fire systems. A Zodiac Deluxe 420 tender with 50 hp Suzuki outboard and complete watersports equipment are included. The boat is fitted with an electric windlass, bow thrusters, hydraulic steering, and an enclosed flybridge helm with full-width bimini and weather protection.
