The 2009 Endeavour 40 Skylounge is a fiberglass catamaran powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines producing 630 horsepower. Only five of these trawler cats were built, making them rare among modern powercats. The design places the helm with excellent visibility forward, supported by navigation electronics including Garmin chart plotters, doppler radar with color convergence indication, AIS B+, and dual VHF radios. The boat carries an 85-pound Mantus anchor deployed by a 48-volt windlass, with raw water washdown at bow and stern.
The layout centers on a large enclosed skylounge with 360-degree views and a new table top, flanked by a well-equipped island galley featuring a dishwasher, induction cooktop, ice maker, two Isotherm refrigerator-freezers, and extensive pantry storage with deep cabinets. Two separate staterooms with en-suite heads provide sleeping quarters: a master with queen island berth and walk-around space, and a guest cabin with hanging storage. Both heads include vanities and stall showers. The galley and salon benefit from bamboo flooring, light wood cabinetry with satin finish, large opening windows with custom blinds, and Sonos speakers.
A significant energy upgrade transformed the house system to a 48-volt lithium battery bank with 30 kilowatt capacity, powered by 3,000 watts of solar panels and a 48-volt, 8-kilowatt alternator. Two Quattro 5000 inverter-chargers and three 48-volt converters support the electrical infrastructure, with an autogeneration system for automatic generator backup. A Seawater Pro watermaker with 40-gallon-per-hour capacity and spare membrane supports long-passage cruising. Fuel capacity reaches 600 gallons; fresh water storage holds 150 gallons across two 80-gallon holding tanks with level indicators and replaced vent and pump-out lines.
The forward upper deck includes custom stainless corner seating; wide side walkways lead to the foredeck with Dutch door access and two corner seats. The aft private deck connects via double doors from the skylounge. A rigid fiberglass dinghy with optional boarding poles provides tender capability. All thru-hulls are Marelon with marine seacocks; the bilge system includes dual automatic pumps. Black tank systems are equipped with Raritan heads, and washer-dryer facilities serve the master quarters.
