This 2009 Fountaine Pajot Lipari 41 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising. At nearly 40 feet with a 29-foot beam, she offers the stability and living space that multihull design provides. Twin Volvo Penta diesel engines deliver 30 horsepower each, with 1,000 hours logged on both. The boat carries 300 liters of fuel and cruises at 6 to 9 knots under power or sail.
Below deck, the layout includes four double cabins plus two single crew bunks, accommodating ten people total. Two separate shower cubicles and two toilet compartments serve the accommodation. The saloon headroom reaches 2 meters. A U-shaped galley faces aft into the cockpit and features full electric cooking with induction stove and microwave. A full-size refrigerator (two years old) and large Dometic freezer provide food storage. A Zen watermaker produces 30 liters per hour, and a 5000-watt Victron system manages 2,400 amp-hours of lithium battery capacity plus two 100-amp-hour AGM batteries. Solar panels totaling 2,880 watts support the power systems.
Recent upgrades include new standing rigging (2023), main and genoa sails (2022), and a new spinnaker (2024). The autopilot is new (2025) with linear drive hydraulic steering. A hard-shell bimini provides weather protection at the helm and fully encloses for shelter. The windlass was rebuilt in 2023. Navigation equipment includes Garmin chartplotter and autopilot, ICOM VHF, EM-Trak AIS, and a Garmin GMR 18 x HD radar. The boat includes a new dinghy (2023) with 15-horsepower outboard and davits for launching. Antifouling was completed two months ago.
