2009 Judel and Vrolijk Maxi 72

North Star is a 2009 Judel and Vrolijk Maxi 72 built in composite. The yacht has a strong racing pedigree, having competed consistently at international maxi racing level under various names and ownerships. She won the 2023 Maxi European Championship.

A major refit in 2021 modernised the boat with hydraulic systems throughout, new winches, updated electrical infrastructure, and a new engine. These upgrades were designed to enable the yacht to sail inshore with a reduced crew of 14 people.

The hull measures 71.88 feet in length with an 18.83-foot beam, delivering the performance envelope expected of a maxi racing platform.
