The 2009 Lagoon 440 is a three-cabin catamaran built in composite, powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines of 108 hp each. At 44.65 feet long with a 25.20-foot beam, it combines the stability and spaciousness typical of the Lagoon platform with proven offshore capability. The boat has been single-owned from new and well-maintained throughout its history.
The interior is open and naturally lit, designed for extended cruising and comfortable living aboard. Three cabins and ten heads serve the accommodation needs. The layout supports both solo and dual-handed sailing through five electric winches that simplify deck work. The rigging and sails were overhauled in 2021; the complete sail inventory includes mainsail, jib, genoa, gennaker, spinnaker, and code D. Recent additions include new trampolines and a titanium whisker pole.
The boat is self-sufficient at sea. It carries solar panels, a generator, a water-maker, and a new battery bank for extended time away from shore power. Satellite telephone and Wi-Fi connectivity are installed. Safety equipment includes stainless rail and reinforced stanchions, with full functional electronics for navigation and communication. The boat has cruised extensively in the Caribbean.
