2009 Lagoon 440

This 2009 Lagoon 440 catamaran was built at Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and has been owned and maintained by a single passionate sailor since new. The hull is fiberglass with a 44.65-foot length and 25.20-foot beam, powered by twin Yammer diesel engines. The yacht cruises at 8 knots with a maximum speed of 10 knots.

The interior includes two cabins and two heads, arranged for extended cruising comfort and self-sufficiency. Equipment for offshore voyaging comprises a generator, water desalination system, solar panels, and a new battery bank. Five electric winches ease sail handling. The rigging and sails—including a gennaker and Code D—were serviced in 2021. Recent replacements include the trampolines and titanium boom. Inoxidable steel safety rails and reinforced lifelines secure the deck.

The yacht carries satellite telephone and onboard Wi-Fi for communication. After extensive voyages across the Atlantic and throughout the Caribbean, the catamaran presents in unusually well-maintained condition for its age. It is configured and equipped for long-distance ocean passages and extended anchorages, ready for immediate sailing.
