The 2009 Leopard 46 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising. Two Yanmar diesel engines of 108 hp power the hull, which measures 46 feet in length with a 25-foot beam. The design delivers the stability and volume typical of the Leopard range, with space distributed across both hulls for living and storage.
The boat is equipped with substantial cruising infrastructure. A 1764-watt solar array with MPPT control and lithium battery bank provide electrical independence, while a 9kVA Northern Lights genset sits in the port forepeak. Water systems include a reverse osmosis unit for producing potable water from tanks. Climate control comprises three 12VDC air-conditioning units installed in February 2026. Navigation is supported by both indoor and outdoor plotters, and safety gear is current throughout.
Structural work included replacement of the rigging in 2017, with regular inspections conducted since. The hull was recently hauled for a thorough inspection, which included removal of all coatings and moisture readings across the surface—all results were normal. Fresh antifouling was applied in February 2026. Two spare plastic fuel tanks, designed to pass through interior doorways, are included. The boat carries an extensive inventory of spare parts and cruising equipment.
