This 2009 Oyster OM43 is a 43-foot motor yacht built by C.J. Broom & Sons in Norfolk. She combines Oyster Marine's signature design and craftsmanship with modern performance, powered by twin Cummins 5.9 diesel engines upgraded via TDI tuning modules to approximately 501–518 horsepower each. Twin Hamilton 292 jet drives with joystick and mouse controls deliver responsive handling and a reported 30-knot maximum speed, with no need for bow or stern thrusters.
The interior layout features two comfortable double or twin cabins, a large wet room with separate shower compartment and electric heads, and a fully equipped galley with induction stove, microwave, and front-opening refrigerator. Hand-built teak joinery with satin varnish and leather upholstery throughout define the accommodation spaces. The inside and outside saloon areas offer ample seating and all-round visibility. A Mastervolt Whisper 6 5kW diesel generator and reverse-cycle air-conditioning and heating support extended cruising in all seasons.
Navigation and boat systems are comprehensive: Garmin touchscreen plotter, radar, AIS, Reactor 40 autopilot, and a Garmin CCTV camera system integrated with remote monitoring via the ActiveCaptain app. Lithium-ion service batteries, Mastervolt charging and monitoring, and hydraulic retractable passarelle complete the specification. A large bathing platform with walk-through access to the cockpit, bimini, and cockpit enclosures round out the exterior.
Extensive refit work was completed in 2024/25, including full engine service with new injectors, filters, belts, and impellers; complete rebuild of both Hamilton jet drives with new seals, bearings, and internal anodes; installation of new lithium batteries with fire suppression, upgraded electro-hydraulic trim tabs, and a new Firebuoy automatic engine-room fire suppression system. The hull was resprayed in Alexseal Midnight Blue in 2022 and treated with preventative epoxy barrier coating. All systems—cooling, bilge, fresh water, electrical, and entertainment—were serviced and upgraded throughout the 2024/25 refit.
