2009 Pendennis Explorer
About This Yacht
This 55-metre explorer yacht was built by Pendennis in 2009 and designed for serious global navigation. Her ice-class steel hull, 3 centimetres thick, enables safe operation in ice conditions up to 80 centimetres. Twin Caterpillar 3512B diesel engines produce 2,200 horsepower combined and deliver a cruising range of approximately 10,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers manage motion underway and at anchor. Maximum speed reaches 15 knots with a cruising speed of 13 knots.
Accommodation spans 13 cabins total: seven for guests including a full-beam owner's suite, two VIP cabins, and four twin cabins with additional berths; six crew cabins support up to 12 crew members. The interiors, designed by Liebowitz & Partners, draw inspiration from traditional English gentlemen's clubs, featuring warm tones and carefully detailed finishes throughout. A heated endless pool with counter-current system occupies a prime position, while a forward observation platform offers views for wildlife spotting. The wine cellar holds up to 600 bottles adjacent to a cigar lounge. The expedition-standard galley includes a walk-in refrigerator for remote-area provisioning.
The hull received a full repaint in 2025 along with renewal of exterior upholstery and installation of a new 5G antenna. The yacht has been maintained consistently throughout her service life and remains ready for extended voyages to remote destinations worldwide.
