The Allures 44 is a bluewater cruising yacht built around a proven design that combines an aluminium hull with a composite deck and neoprene isolation. Her defining feature is a centreboard that offers good upwind performance and stability when lowered, and shallow draft access to remote anchorages when raised—a significant advantage for extended ocean cruising. The 2010 build is powered by a Volvo D2-55 diesel engine producing 55 horsepower, with approximately 4,800 hours recorded. The hull has been antifouled and hauled out recently in 2026.
This yacht accommodates six berths across two cabins: a forward owner's cabin with a mattress replaced in 2022, an aft double cabin, and a convertible saloon berth. Both cabins offer substantial storage. The galley runs along the port side and includes a large fridge and freezer, with additional workspace suited to real cooking underway. A separate area houses a washing machine and a 110-litre freezer installed in 2021. Dedicated storage and the layout reflect serious cruising standards.
The rigging has received consistent attention. Lower shrouds were replaced in 2023, and standing rigging was checked in 2024. Sails include a Dacron mainsail from 2010, a genoa changed in 2020, and a new staysail from 2025. A 120-square-metre Code D and 80-square-metre gennaker both sit on furlers; sail covers were renewed in 2023 and 2025. The seawater pump was rebuilt in 2025, the exhaust elbow replaced in 2022, and saildrive serviced in 2023.
Recent upgrades span deck and comfort systems. A new bimini, sprayhood, side panels and sun cover were installed in 2025. The electrical system runs Victron equipment with a 600-ampere-hour service battery bank added in 2022, a 1500-watt charger-inverter, and a 3500-watt isolation transformer. Ground tackle has been renewed: a 30-kilogramme Rocna main anchor was added in 2025, the main chain replaced in 2026, and the windlass remote control renewed in 2026. An aluminium launch gantry fitted in 2018 carries a Highfield 2.40-metre semi-rigid tender with a Tohatsu 9.8 horsepower outboard featuring electric start.
