2010 Leopard 38

The 2010 Leopard 38 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising. With a beam of nearly 20 feet and four cabins across its twin hulls, the boat offers spacious accommodation for cruising couples or small groups. Power comes from two Yanmar diesel engines rated at 29 horsepower each, paired with saildrive propulsion. The rig is complete with a mainsail, genoa, A2 spinnaker, and storm jib, supported by new standing rigging installed in 2022 and Harken furlers and winches throughout.

The boat is extensively equipped for self-sufficient cruising. Electrical systems center on a 630 amp-hour house battery bank, 800 watts of solar panels, a 5.5-kilowatt diesel genset, and Victron battery management and inverter hardware. Fresh water production comes from a 15-gallon-per-hour Spectra water maker. A 195-gallon fuel capacity spans three tanks, with 120 gallons of fresh water storage and 26 gallons of holding tank capacity split between the hulls. Climate control includes two 16,000 BTU air-conditioning units and a diesel heating system.

Navigation and communication are handled by Raymarine electronics including a C90W chartplotter, autopilot, wind instruments, and tridata display, plus an ICOM SSB radio with Pactor 4 and an AIS transponder. The boat carries a 10-foot aluminum RIB tender with a 15-horsepower outboard motor and davits for launching. Anchoring gear includes two 45-pound CQR anchors, a Danforth, and 450 feet of new anchor chain. A four-person life raft and drogue complete the safety equipment. The hull received fresh bottom paint with barrier coat and antifoul in July 2023, and saildrive components were recently serviced.
