The 2010 Outremer 49 is a composite catamaran built for blue-water sailing and long-distance cruising. With extended transoms that stretch the waterline to just over 50 feet, the boat combines narrow, wave-piercing hull design with a 24-foot beam, delivering efficient performance across variable conditions. A single 40-horsepower Volvo diesel provides motoring capability at approximately 8 knots cruising speed.
The interior is arranged with a master suite on the port side and two cabins to starboard, including a forward cabin with two single berths and a queen-plus berth amidships. One head serves the accommodations. The layout suits cruising families or those hosting guests for extended passages.
Recent upgrades have focused on sailing performance and systems durability. The boat received a new 22-meter Marstrom rotating carbon mast and boom, along with performance standing rigging in rod and Aramid. Deck hardware has been upgraded throughout, and the sail inventory consists of North Sails 3Di material. The 2020 Volvo engines represent a major power plant refresh. Additional refinements include titanium chainplates, stainless steel galley countertops, a custom Seadek aft cockpit, and tiller steering with carbon fiber tillers for helm options.
The catamaran is presented in sound condition with a comprehensive maintenance history on file.
