This 2011 Catana 47 is a fiberglass catamaran with a 47-foot length and nearly 25-foot beam, powered by twin Volvo Penta D2-50 diesel engines. The boat cruises at 8 knots and features four double cabins plus a forward cabin, saloon, and four bathrooms. A 3.3-meter semi-rigid dinghy with a 9hp Selva engine is included.
The propulsion and power systems have received substantial attention. Both engines were replaced in 2021 at 900 hours and underwent complete overhaul in 2025. Engine batteries (110A each) date from 2023 and 2024, while service batteries comprise four 180W gel units from 2021. Solar generation includes four 80W panels and three 300W panels, all installed in 2021. Fresh water production is managed by an Aqua Base watermaker rated 80 liters per hour, serviced in 2022 with membrane replacement in 2025. Two 75-liter hot water tanks are fitted; one dates to 2018 and the other to 2025. Freshwater pumps were serviced in both 2021 and 2025, and through-hull valves and fittings were replaced in 2021. Sanitation includes two electric freshwater toilets and one seawater toilet, all from 2021.
Sail inventory and rigging are comprehensive. The main sail is a Hydranet 86 square meters from 2023, complemented by a 53 square meter Hydranet genoa on a Facnor LS290 roller from 2021. A 90 square meter gennaker on a Facnor LS200 and a spinnaker both date to 2018. Standing rigging was replaced in 2018; running rigging was updated in 2018 and again in 2021. Winch arrangement includes five units—two size 46 and three size 50—with one electric 50 winch. Navigation electronics received complete overhaul and system reconnection in 2025. Antifouling was applied in 2025, and safety equipment is current and complete.
