This 2011 Catana 50 is a fiberglass catamaran built for serious cruising. The boat features twin daggerboards for effective upwind performance and dual helm stations on the aft console, each with clear sightlines. A complete sail set from 2017—mainsail, solent, and gennaker—supports efficient passage-making.
The layout includes four double cabins, two forward with ensuite heads and two aft with convertible sleeping arrangements. The saloon is light and airy with natural wood finishes, an open galley oriented toward the cockpit, a forward-facing chart table, and an L-shaped salon with a folding telescopic table. The galley is fully equipped with generator, watermaker, solar panels, refrigerator, freezer, and ice maker.
Electronics are comprehensive and include satellite communications. Two Volvo 75-horsepower diesel engines provide propulsion with modest fuel consumption of approximately 4.5 liters per hour each at 7 knots. A complete refit was undertaken in the first half of 2017 to address wear from prior charter service and upgrade systems for offshore cruising.
