This 2012 custom 25-metre expedition yacht was built by Sea Spark in New Zealand as a purpose-designed long-range cruiser. Constructed in steel with twin 600 hp Iveco diesel engines, she reaches 11 knots maximum and cruises comfortably at 8 knots. Holding AMSA Classes 1C, 2B & 2C and certified as a Category 2 Dangerous Goods Vessel, the yacht is built to handle extended offshore passages with substantial fuel capacity and structural integrity designed for serious seamanship. A 2023 refit updated systems and equipment throughout.
The main saloon features warm timber joinery in Merbau, Teak, and Tasmanian Oak, with large windows and air conditioning. Forward on the main deck, the galley includes a Fisher & Paykel 470L fridge/freezer, Smeg gas cooktop and oven, Bosch dishwasher, LG microwave, and a Matador drinks fridge. The skylounge above provides elevated observation space with a Bose home theatre system and 65-inch Samsung TV, opening onto an aft boat deck with a dining table and 25 rod holders. The helm station features Simrad electronics and accommodates the captain and navigator.
Accommodation comprises six cabins across two levels. Two mirrored midship guest cabins offer side-by-side single beds with private ensuites and 30-inch TVs. Forward are two bunk cabins, one with a single bunk and one with two bunks, each with a TV. A second crew cabin forward features two bunks and direct access to the bow via overhead hatch. A shared wet head, laundry room with Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer, and additional freezer storage in the lazarette support extended voyages.
Systems include twin Sharplift water makers, Solé Advance and Onan generators, and comprehensive Simrad navigation equipment. A 1256 kg custom davit handles a Brig 2.9-metre RIB. Starlink satellite internet, Wi-Fi, and Iridium Extreme satellite phone provide connectivity. The bow features non-skid decking, fuel storage tanks, and versatile entertaining space. A 285-litre chest freezer and additional 242-litre fridge and 155-litre freezer in the lazarette provide generous provisions storage for expedition cruising.
