2012 Custom Boathouse

This 75-foot by 28-foot custom boathouse provides secure, protected moorage for larger yachts. Built with painted 2x6 lumber and plywood framing, the structure features galvanized steel cladding on the roof and perimeter, with durable unpainted 2x8 fir plank walkways. The interior spans 22 feet 6 inches to the framing. A full-width mezzanine loft measuring 13 feet deep offers flexible space for storage or workspace.

The entrance measures 15 feet 10 inches between rollers (16 feet 2 inches with rollers removed) and stands 19 feet 11 inches high, accommodating substantial vessels. Ten 12-inch galvanized steel cleats provide secure tie-downs, and the slip measures 15 feet 2 inches wide by 65 feet long.

Electrical infrastructure includes 100-amp service with 30-amp shore power, three 15-amp 120V double receptacles along each walkway, and ten 8-foot double-tube fluorescent light fixtures. Electric and manual curtain controls operate via handheld remote, and an external power meter monitors consumption. The boathouse is encapsulated and towable, offering flexibility for repositioning or transport.

Located on the Fraser River in freshwater moorage, the boathouse eliminates mussel growth concerns and reduces fuel costs. Unlimited vehicle parking is available at the site.
