The 2012 Lagoon 400 is a 39-foot fiberglass catamaran powered by twin 78-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines. Built for comfortable cruising and extended time at sea, this boat has been thoroughly upgraded and equipped for long-distance sailing.
The layout includes four cabins and three heads. One head has been converted to accommodate a washing machine, and the galley features an extra-large refrigerator and freezer. Power and autonomy are handled by a generator, water maker, solar panels, and lithium battery bank. Climate control includes heating and air-conditioning systems. The sail plan comprises two complete sets of sails plus a cruising chute and code zero. A large tender with outboard motor is included, along with full winter and summer covers.
Recent maintenance includes replacement of the saildrive rubber seals, upgraded propeller shafts with a harder-wearing surface coating, replacement of all metal seacocks with new plastic units, and full service of the hydraulic autopilot system including valves, motor brushes, and seals. Both bottom rudder bearings have been renewed. The hull has been painted with copper-coat antifouling.
The boat has been actively cruised and maintained to manufacturer specifications, with regular polishing and waxing throughout its service life.
