The 2012 Outbound 46 is a fiberglass cruising sailboat designed for extended offshore passage-making. Built on a hull 46 feet long with a 13.5-foot beam, she carries a single 75-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine. The boat features the upgraded Outbound layout with an enlarged aft cabin that includes a separate shower stall, a spacious chart table, and an expanded salon. Forward is a center island berth with vanity and storage. Two cabins and one head accommodate the cruising crew.
The owners have completed substantial upgrades over their ownership. Standing rigging was replaced in 2022. A comprehensive lithium system installed in 2024–2025 comprises three 300-ampere-hour Blue Heron Extreme batteries, a Victron Multiplus 3000 charger-inverter, Victron BMV 712 monitor, and Victron Color Control GX system. Solar power comes from two Kyocera 250-watt panels managed by a Flexmax 80 MPPT controller.
Additional improvements include a Quantum tri-radial mainsail and stack pack installed in 2021, electric flush Seafresh Elegance toilet upgraded in 2021, Spectra Ventura 200T water maker, and Starlink Mini satellite connectivity. A new 5-inch foam mattress was fitted in the forward cabin in 2024. Safety and tender equipment include a Winslow 6-person offshore liferaft from 2024 and a Highfield CL 310 Hypalon dinghy with a 2012 Tohatsu 15-horsepower outboard that recently underwent major service.
