The 2020 Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 is a performance cruising sailboat built on a fiberglass hull with a fin keel and displacement shape. At 46 feet overall with a 14.75-foot beam, it delivers capable sailing through a combination of thoughtful design and serious equipment. The boat is powered by an 80-horsepower Yammer diesel engine, achieving a cruising speed of 8 knots and maximum speed of 12 knots. The rig is built for performance: a classic aluminum mast with tapered swept spreaders, cathedral-style Dyform standing rigging, a bowsprit with integrated anchoring gear and bobstay for asymmetric and Code 0 sails, and a flatdeck genoa furler. Electric winches, a bow thruster, and a hydraulic backstay support short-handed sailing.
The boat was custom-ordered with the Beneteau First Line 46.1 package and has been extensively upgraded. The deck layout and fittings were customized by Easom Rigging, and the sails are custom North Sails. Additional upgrades include retractable dinghy davits, a custom dodger and bimini, cockpit fridge, an extra fuel tank, and an inverter alongside the generator and air conditioning.
Below decks, the three-cabin, two-head layout features rich Alpi mahogany wood trim with upgraded ultra-leather upholstery. The galley includes a two-burner stove with oven and grill on a gimbal, microwave, and both a front-loading refrigerator and a top-opening icebox. There is LED indirect lighting throughout, a full refrigeration system, and 12-volt power. Amenities include upgraded stereo and cockpit cushions.
The boat combines elegant styling with practical cruising comfort and proven sailing performance across varying conditions.
