The 2013 Bavaria Vision 46 is a fiberglass sailing yacht designed by Bruce Farr and built for extended bluewater cruising. Powered by a Volvo Penta D2-55F 55 hp diesel saildrive, the boat measures 46 feet in length with a 13.75-foot beam and combines modern performance sailing with practical offshore capability. The offset companionway and expansive cockpit layout feature twin helms for good visibility, a manual-lowering port table that converts to a daybed, and a centralized winch arrangement well-suited to short-handed operation. A Side-Power bow thruster aids maneuvering in close quarters.
The interior spans three cabins and two heads, with an open, bright feel created by fixed hull ports, overhead hatches, and natural light throughout. The asymmetrical companionway provides an efficient galley and pantry area, while the saloon includes a flexible navigation table that converts into a continuous bench. The layout works comfortably for extended liveaboard cruising and coastal sailing.
The boat carries recent upgrades and equipment: standing rigging replaced in January 2025, Crusader Sails mainsail, genoa, and spinnaker from 2021, a 2024 Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter with supporting Garmin depth, speed, wind, and autopilot instruments, and an ICOM Class B AIS transponder. Hydrovane self-steering and 460 watts of Victron solar panels support long offshore passages. The engine shows 2,013 hours as of May 2026. A Mantus M2 anchor with 80 meters of galvanized chain, a 4-person Seago life raft, and an Ocean Signal EPIRB complete the offshore suite. A tender with 2.6 hp outboard is included.
