The Hanse 575 is a 56-foot performance cruising yacht built in 2013 with a fiberglass hull and a proven design suited to extended blue-water voyaging. She is powered by a 150-horsepower Volvo Penta D3 diesel engine with shaft drive and a four-blade folding propeller, with 2,800 engine hours on the clock. A Quick BTR185 retractable bow thruster (all parts replaced in 2022) provides additional maneuvering capability. The yacht reaches a maximum speed of 10 knots with a cruising speed of 6 knots.
Accommodation comprises four cabins and two heads. The forward owner's cabin features a double bed, large wardrobes, an ensuite with an electric head and separate shower, and a security safe. Two further double cabins occupy the aft sections—one port with the washing machine, one starboard with an ensuite head installed in 2025. A single-berth cabin sits portside aft. The saloon includes a convertible dining table, U-shaped seating for six, a navigation station, a 42-inch Samsung television, and a Fusion premium audio system. The galley is equipped with a three-burner Eno gas stove and oven, Siemens microwave, Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, Vitrifrigo refrigeration, and a Nespresso machine.
The sail plan comprises a 2019 Full Batten Main Sail Evolution Expedition, a 2019 Furling Overlap Genoa Evolution Expedition with battens, a 2015 Code Zero Elvstrom on a new Uni Major furling unit, and a 2017 A2 Gennaker Evolution with fiberglass snuffer. Two Lewmar 65 primary electric winches and two Lewmar 55 secondary manual winches drive the system. All halyards, reefing lines, and sheets are Dyneema, and the genoa track received new stops in 2025. A Dyneema backstay with Navtec hydraulic tensioner completes the standing rigging.
Onboard systems are comprehensive. A Fischer Panda 8000i generator, Schenker Modular 150-liter-per-hour watermaker, and Climma air conditioning serve comfort. Navigation equipment includes dual B&G Zeus 3 12-inch multifunction displays (new in 2022), Simrad instruments for wind, depth, and log, a Simrad AC42 autopilot, 4G broadband radar, a Simrad nine-inch multifunction display at the nav station, and Simrad VHF with Vesper AIS Class B transponder. Electrical systems feature a 3000-watt inverter, two solar panels, 100-amp battery charger, and Victron Energy controls. Four service batteries were installed in 2022, with a new start battery in 2024. Teak covers the cockpit, transoms, and side decks. Deck gear includes a 45-kilogram Ultra stain
