The Tioga is a 67-foot ocean-going ketch built in 2013 by Joseph Martin Bootswerf, combining classic design with modern performance. Her cold-moulded mahogany hull at 35mm thickness delivers structural rigidity and light weight, with a total displacement of 19.2 tonnes and 5.54 tonnes of ballast. The lifting keel enables both shallow-water cruising and open-ocean passages, while the ketch rig—carrying 308 square metres on all-carbon spars controlled by Andersen winches—can be managed by an owner sailing short-handed in most sea states.
Accommodation includes five cabins arranged for six guests plus two crew in a forward cabin, with three heads throughout. A single VW Marine diesel engine provides auxiliary power. The design balances elegant proportions with seaworthy capability, offering the flexibility to explore both protected coastlines and distant waters.
