The Voyage 520 is a 52-foot fiberglass catamaran built in South Africa with a beam of over 27 feet, delivering exceptional interior and exterior space. The wide cockpit extends to a teak swim platform and dinghy deck, while generous side decks and foredeck add to the sense of openness. The hull employs hand-laid fiberglass with quadraxial roving, PVC foam core, and marine plywood and balsa coring on critical bulkheads, creating a light and robust structure reinforced with low-aspect keels and skeg-hung rudders.
The boat accommodates four cabins and five heads, with molded fiberglass interior fixtures and teak-and-holly vinyl flooring. The catamaran is powered by twin Yanmar 4JH5E diesel engines of 112 horsepower each, with 2,200 hours logged since a 2018–19 rebuild. Additional propulsion comes from a Northern Lights 6-kilowatt generator with 1,500 hours and a 2000-hour service completed in September 2025.
The 520 underwent significant restoration in 2018–19 following hurricane damage, with subsequent owner upgrades adding new equipment. Sails include a 2019 Ullman mainsail and genoa—both inspected and serviced in 2025—plus a 2024 asymmetrical spinnaker. A Profurl electric genoa furler was installed in 2023, and standing rigging was replaced in 2019 and inspected in 2024. Navigation and instrumentation rely on a Raymarine suite installed in 2019. Additional systems include a SEA RO 100-gallon-per-hour watermaker and 600 watts of solar panels added in August 2024.
