The Dufour 500 Grand Large is a 48-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built in 2014, combining classic design with solid ocean-going capability. Powered by a 75 hp Volvo diesel engine with 1,500 hours on it, the boat has been maintained to a high standard throughout its life and more recently underwent a comprehensive overhaul in 2025, including new equipment installation suited for extended offshore passages.
The interior layout provides three cabins and three heads, arranged to sleep up to eight people comfortably. The accommodations are designed around generous volumes and functional spacing, offering privacy and livability for both cruising families and larger groups.
The boat spent most of its early years sailing the Mediterranean before making an Atlantic crossing in late 2025 to reach the Caribbean. The recent refit and equipment upgrades position it well for long-distance cruising in its current waters.
