The 2014 Fairline Squadron 78 Custom is a 78-foot motor yacht built by the British shipyard Fairline, powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines delivering 3,244 horsepower. The yacht features a fiberglass hull with teak-laid decks and was designed in collaboration with naval architect Bernard Olesinski and interior styling by CLASS Interior Design. It accommodates eight guests across four cabins—a master suite, VIP cabin, and two twin guest cabins—plus dedicated crew quarters, with four heads throughout.
The interior spaces combine classic aesthetics with modern design, appointed in exotic woods and hand-selected granite work surfaces. Large entertaining areas include an extensive saloon, upper deck areas, and private staterooms filled with natural light. Performance is driven by the twin Caterpillar engines with a cruising speed of 24 knots and maximum speed of 32 knots, supported by a 1,556-gallon fuel capacity and 301-gallon water capacity for extended range of 434 to 500 nautical miles.
The yacht is equipped with comprehensive systems including twin 22.5 kW generators, centralized hydraulics managing the passerelle, transom door, bow and stern thrusters, and windlass. Additional features include automatic high-capacity bilge pumps, water-cooled through-hull engine silencers, and multiple electrical systems at 240V, 24V, and 12V. The flybridge offers expansive outdoor entertaining with hard-top coverage, seating areas, and dining options.
In July 2020, the yacht underwent comprehensive refit work including hull paint, shaft maintenance, propeller reconditioning, and critical systems updates. Since that refit, approximately 980 engine hours have accumulated, demonstrating light recent use and well-maintained operation.
