2014 Farr Volvo Ocean 65

The 2014 Farr Volvo Ocean 65 is a composite-hulled offshore racing yacht with a proven competitive record. Designed and built to the highest standards of the one-design class, this boat was campaigned as Dongfeng through the Volvo Ocean Race 2018 and Ocean Race 2021, where it achieved outright wins. The hull measures 66.93 feet in length with an 18.37-foot beam, powered by a single 75-horsepower Volvo Penta engine.

The boat's structure reflects meticulous maintenance throughout its racing career. Corecell reinforcement is used in the forward area. The appendage package includes twin forward daggerboards working in conjunction with a 40-degree canting keel, complemented by twin fixed composite rudders that were replaced in 2019, with an additional spare rudder included. Ballast capacity consists of two 800-liter side tanks and a single 1,100-liter forward tank. Non-skid paint and seadeck were applied in 2023.

Systems and structure have undergone complete annual checks and overhauls throughout the boat's life. The mast, hull, and all major systems have been maintained to class and manufacturer specifications. When not in use, the boat is stored fully disassembled under cover. The design accommodates a small capable crew of five and performs as both a competitive racer and capable day sailor.
