The 2014 Formula 45 is a 48-foot fiberglass motor yacht built for serious cruising. Twin Volvo Penta diesel engines deliver 870 horsepower and feature IPS joystick control for precise maneuvering. The yacht carries a 11.5-kilowatt Westerbeke diesel generator in a sound shield, dual fuel and auxiliary battery banks, automatic bilge pumps with high water alarm, and trim tabs for smooth performance across variable conditions.
Topside, the cockpit and swim platform feature teak vinyl decking beneath a hardtop with full windshield and walkthrough access to the bow. The space includes air conditioning and heating, a wet bar with refrigerator and ice maker, electric grill, smart television, and electric sunroof. Two heads serve the boat. Navigation and seamanship are managed through a full Raymarine electronics suite with dual color touchscreen displays, open array color HD radar, FLIR night vision, autopilot, remote spotlight, and anchor windlass with remote control.
Below deck, the salon opens with natural light through skylights and features a u-shaped sofa convertible to a double bed, high-gloss cherry cabinetry, and an adjustable dining table. The galley is equipped with modern stainless steel appliances including refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop, plus generous counter and storage space. The master stateroom holds a large berth with storage cabinets and a private head with tiled shower. A guest cabin provides two twin beds and a television. A Bose surround sound system and Clarion stereo serve the interior.
The hull has been bottom painted and detailed. An engine room hatch with stainless steel ladder, electric lighting, and low-noise bilge blowers facilitate maintenance and inspection.
