2014 Hinckley Picnic Boat 37 MKIII

This 2014 Hinckley Picnic Boat 37 MKIII combines solid construction with purposeful design for capable coastal cruising. Built with Hinckley's DualGuard composite construction—a Kevlar and E-glass hybrid outer skin bonded with carbon fiber inner layers—the hull is painted forest green with a red Micron bottom and white gel coat deck. Twin Yanmar 8LV engines deliver 370 horsepower each, driving Hamilton jet drives for responsive handling across a range of water conditions. The boat cruises efficiently at 35 knots with a maximum speed of 37 knots. The JetStick II control system integrates steering, throttle, and bow thruster into a single joystick for intuitive maneuvering.

The pilothouse prioritizes visibility and comfort with two large fixed forward windows, powered side windows, and two powered overhead hatches. Inside, a Stidd helm seat and opposing Sunbrella settees face forward, with a removable teak table between them. The teak package extends throughout—instrument pod, dash, and pilothouse side liners—while stainless steel and cherry accents complete the interior. A Raymarine e165 hybrid chartplotter with 18-inch 2-kW radar, P70R autopilot, and Standard Horizon VHF provide navigation and communication.

Below, cherry cabinetry and teak cabin sole define the accommodations. A forward queen berth with storage lockers, a galley with electric cooktop and Sea Frost refrigeration to port, and a head with shower to starboard complete the layout. Air conditioning in the V-berth and additional 12,000 BTU units in the pilothouse manage climate control. Power comes from a 9-kW Onan generator, dual alternators, and substantial battery banks supporting both 12-volt and 220-volt systems.

Recent work includes full jet service and bottom paint completed in May 2026. The generator runs only 65 hours as of April 2026. Equipment includes a Muir electric windlass with stainless steel anchor and rode, cockpit shower, swim platform with telescoping ladder, and comprehensive safety systems including triple bilge pumps and automatic engine compartment fire suppression.
