The 2014 Hinckley Talaria 34 is a composite jet boat built for performance and sophisticated coastal cruising. Twin Yanmar diesel engines producing 260 horsepower each power Hamilton jet drives, delivering a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. The boat handles through a Hinckley JetStick II control system that integrates steering, throttle, and an electric bow thruster into a single joystick, complemented by dual stainless steel trim tabs. The hull uses Hinckley's DualGuard composite construction with a Kevlar E-glass hybrid outer skin, aircraft-grade balsa core, and carbon-fiber inner skin, topped by a fiberglass deck with closed-cell foam core.
The pilothouse is enclosed with four oversized stainless steel windows—two fixed forward and two manual sliding sides—and overhead aluminum hatches. Inside, satin-varnished cherry cabinetry throughout complements a teak and tulipwood cabin sole. The single cabin features a V-berth forward with ample storage and an opening overhead hatch, while a private head with electric marine toilet and hot/cold shower sits amidships. The galley to port includes a front-loading refrigerator, single electric cooktop, microwave, and Corian countertops. Dual helm and settee seating in the pilothouse is upholstered in leather and Sunbrella canvas, with storage beneath.
The cockpit features forward and aft facing Sunbrella cushioned seating, a removable pedestal table, and a transom door accessing the swim platform. Stainless steel handrails, a varnished teak toe rail, and a heavy-duty fiberglass swim platform with telescoping ladder complete the deck layout. A Muir electric windlass with a 22-pound stainless anchor, chain, and rode handles ground tackle, operable from both helm and remote.
Electronics include a Raymarine E127 chart plotter with radar and depth finder, Standard Horizon VHF radio, and Raymarine autopilot with wireless remote. Power comes from dual alternators, house and starting battery banks totaling 420 amps, and a 30-amp battery charger. The fuel capacity is 160 gallons, with a 35-gallon water tank and 28-gallon holding tank. Heating is provided by an Accu-point system with outlets throughout.
