The 2014 Mako 21 LTS is a 21-foot fiberglass bay boat built for shallow-water fishing. It combines the proven hull design of the 18 LTS with a wider 8-foot-4-inch beam that delivers stability while maintaining the shallow draft needed for skinny water. The single 150-horsepower Mercury engine planes with minimal bow rise thanks to the Rapid Planing System transom, reaching speeds of 48 mph with a cruising speed of 35 mph.
The layout prioritizes fishing functionality throughout. Forward of the console is a raised casting platform with non-skid surface, bow dry storage in two compartments, and a starboard rod locker with organizers. The fully molded console houses vertical rod holders, tackle storage, and a removable cooler/fishbox. The padded helm seat doubles as a cooler for drinks and food.
The cockpit spans the beam with 360-degree mobility and fishability. An aerated 30-gallon livewell with Pro-Air system sits in the aft section, paired with two large dry storage compartments beneath a raised casting deck. An in-deck hatch provides access to the 1,600-GPH bilge pump. Foam-filled hull construction keeps the boat quiet, aiding stealth when working shallow flats.
