The 2014 Nitro Z-9 is a 21-foot fiberglass bay boat built for serious fishing performance. Powered by a single Mercury Optimax 300 hp engine, it combines shallow-water capability with the speed and handling needed to reach productive grounds quickly. The hull features Nitro's iRapid planing system transom and incorporates a 10-inch adjustable jack plate for variable running angles and draft control, essential tools for navigating skinny water.
The boat is rigged for tournament-level operation. Twin 20-gallon insulated livewells with oxygen generators, recirculators, timers, and pump-out systems keep catch alive and competitive. A hydraulic tilt steering system with through-deck hose routing supports smooth maneuverability, while the center console houses full instrumentation and an in-dash Lowrance HDS-7c fishfinder and GPS. Dual rod lockers with automatic lights and port organizers provide tackle storage. Additional features include a fold-down reboarding ladder, dual live wells, high-output rub rail lights, and a hot foot throttle control.
Electronics are comprehensive: dual 12-inch Lowrance HDS screens positioned at the console and bow, a 36-volt Lowrance ghost trolling motor with Spot-Lock, forward-facing sonar capability, and dual Minn Kota 12-foot Talon anchors with two sets of remotes each. The boat includes a custom-matched trailer fitted with Galvashield corrosion protection, fiberglass fenders, swing-away tongue, and a No Touch Vortex hub lubrication system. Four new batteries with NOCO charger are included. All electronics are new and unused; the motor has low hours and the boat has been garage-kept.
