The 2014 X-Yachts Xp 38 is a dual-purpose cruiser-racer built on a fiberglass hull with a carbon structural grid, deep T-bulb keel, and epoxy-infused construction. A Yanmar diesel engine of 39 horsepower provides auxiliary power. The design combines high stability and ease of handling with performance characteristics suited to both inshore and offshore racing, along with comfortable cruising in varied sea conditions.
The yacht accommodates three cabins and one head. Below deck, there are two refrigeration units—one top-loading and one front-loading—along with new house batteries and an Espar heater for climate control.
The sails include a North 3Di main and genoa, North G2 and A5 spinnakers, and a North A0 Code 0. A carbon bowsprit supports the sail plan. The boat is outfitted with a full B&G electronics suite for navigation and performance monitoring. Canvas protection includes a LaFabrica dodger and covers, plus a full winter cover.
