The 2015 Allied 17 Explorer is a center console fishing boat built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a 2018 Evinrude E-TEC 115 hp outboard. The engine has approximately 155 hours and received a full service in May 2025 that included a new water pump, thermostats, VST filter, and spark plugs. The boat carries a 40-gallon fuel tank for extended inshore and coastal operation.
The boat is outfitted for serious fishing. It features a 72-inch MotorGuide trolling motor with GPS and a new battery installed in 2025, plus 16 rod holders distributed across the gunwales, T-top, and transom. A hydraulic steering system and Lenco electric trim tabs provide control, while a custom T-top with three-sided Eisenglass enclosure offers weather protection. Additional equipment includes a Garmin 742 chart plotter, Garmin Striker 5dv depth finder, VHF radio, stainless steel anchor pulpit, and under-gunnel lighting in blue and white.
Comfort features include a stereo system and raw water washdown. The boat rides on a 2015 Load Rite trailer fitted with Vortex hubs, aluminum wheels, and stainless Kodiak surge brakes. The hull has been bottom-painted and has not been left in the water for extended periods, with typical cruising speeds reported at 33–35 mph with two passengers and gear.
