2015 Fountaine Pajot Helia 44

The 2015 Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and comfortable living. At 43.5 feet with a 24.25-foot beam, the boat balances generous interior space with solid seagoing capability. Twin 110-horsepower Volvo diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of 7 knots and a top speed of 8 knots, while the design allows for short-handed sailing.

The three-cabin layout positions the owner's suite in the starboard hull with a queen bed, en-suite head, and storage, while two guest cabins with separate heads occupy the port hull. The main salon features 360-degree visibility with abundant light, open seating, and comfortable proportions. The integrated cockpit includes a large dining area for outdoor use. Throughout the boat, cabinetry, upholstery, and storage are functional and well-appointed.

Equipment includes Garmin electronics, autopilot, and GPS; air conditioning in the saloon and all cabins; an electric helm winch; a Northern Lights generator; and a full solar panel system for extended cruising with reduced engine use. The dinghy tender—a Limin 300 with a 15-horsepower Yamaha 2-stroke outboard—is included.

The boat underwent haul-out and maintenance in September 2025, including polishing, antifouling, and sail drive service. A new mainsail (Doyle Coastal Plus fully battened) and cradle cover were installed in summer 2025, with exterior cushions replaced in spring 2024 and chart plotter replaced in January 2024.
