The 2015 Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 is a fiberglass catamaran built in the three-cabin owner's version, offering an ICW-friendly mast height uncommon for this size. Twin Volvo Penta D2 40-horsepower diesel engines power the boat, each running approximately 1000 hours, with Brunton self-pitching autoprop systems and modern charging infrastructure including a 275-amp alternator and 500-watt wake speed charger on the starboard engine.
The accommodation layout spans three cabins and three heads across the wide 24.5-foot beam. Power and water systems are substantial: a 1200-amp-hour lithium house bank feeds two 3-kilowatt Victron inverters for 6 kilowatts of inverted capacity, supplemented by a 9-kilowatt Northern Lights diesel generator and 390 watts of solar panels with Victron charge control. A Spectra Newport 400 watermaker supports extended cruising, and climate control includes six dual-cycle air conditioning units and adjustable salon fans.
The rigging has been updated with standing lines replaced in 2020 and new lifelines fitted. The sail plan includes a new foresail and mainsail with in-mast furling; an unused asymmetrical spinnaker is included but requires rigging. Running lines are Dynema, with twisted nylon traveler lines and a full assortment of blocks added in 2026. Electronics were upgraded in 2023 with a Garmin suite. The hull received fresh bottom paint and saildrive service in November 2025.
Additional equipment includes a 2024 Highfield 360 dinghy with Tohatsu 30 outboard, an 85-pound Mantus anchor, four underwater LED light fixtures, cockpit sunshades, and a washer-dryer combination. Custom owner's mattresses, exterior outlet plugs, and an extensive spare parts collection complete the package.
