2015 Hinckley Daysailor 42

This 2015 Hinckley Daysailer 42 is the eighth and final example built by the Maine yard. Fitted with a fixed fin keel and spade rudder, she handles well under sail and achieves cruising speeds of 6 knots with her single 27-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine. A carbon fiber mast and in-boom mainsail furling system simplify sail handling, while a captive reel mainsheet winch mounted below the cockpit offers fingertip control of the sheet. Maximum speed reaches 7 knots.

The boat accommodates one cabin and one head, providing comfortable overnight capability for a daysailer of this size. The cockpit features high-gloss varnished teak back rests, combings, a dining table, and winch pods that reflect careful attention to detail and finish.

The yacht has been sailed lightly in Maine waters since launch and maintained throughout its life. It was stored indoors during winter months and protected with a cockpit cover in summer, contributing to its current condition. The boat is powered by diesel fuel and built in composite construction.
