2015 Hylas 70

The Hylas 70 is a luxury performance cruising yacht designed by Germán Frers and built by Queen Long Marine. Commissioned in 2015, this fiberglass hull measures 70 feet with an 18-foot beam and is powered by a 260 hp Yanmar 6BY turbo diesel engine, delivering a cruising speed of 8 knots and maximum speed of 10 knots. The yacht carries a single-engine configuration paired with bow and stern thrusters by SidePower for enhanced maneuverability.

Below deck, the interior features four staterooms and four heads arranged for comfortable extended cruising. The accommodations showcase teak joinery throughout, including matched grain cabinetry and a solid teak cabin sole. The galley is comprehensively equipped with dual front-access refrigerators, a large freezer, icemaker, pull-out beverage chiller, four-burner stovetop with oven and broiler, convection microwave, and a wine cooler in the main salon. A Splendide 2100 XC combination washer and dryer is installed.

Systems reflect a yacht designed for global voyaging. Power comes from dual 6 kW Polar Power DC generators with approximately 1,350 and 1,500 operating hours respectively, supported by a 2000 AH lithium-ion battery bank managed by a Victron system. Two independent ECH2O watermakers produce 64 gallons per hour combined capacity. Four independent 18,000 BTU air conditioning units operate on 24-volt DC power without requiring shore power or generator runtime. Navigation and communication equipment includes Garmin systems suitable for unrestricted global operation.

Deck and tender infrastructure includes custom stainless steel davits by YRM with automatic extending arms and 500 lb capacity per arm, a 2024 OC350 carbon fiber tender with sailing rig and 20 hp Tohatsu outboard, 2022–2023 Solaris non-skid solar panels, and QTLED 80 underwater lights at the transom. The sails comprise three Quantum Fusion M carbon laminate sails dating to 2021.
