2015 Solaris 50

The Solaris 50 is a 50-foot cruiser-racer built in 2015 by Italian shipyard Solaris Yachts and designed by Javier Soto Acebal. She features a carbon mast and carbon furling boom by Hall Spars, a Volvo Penta D2-75 diesel engine with saildrive and MaxProp, and a modern fiberglass sandwich hull that balances light weight with structural rigidity. The boat carries a comprehensive sail inventory including mainsail, genoa, Code Zero, and Gennaker, paired with electric winches and a bow thruster for efficient handling and maneuvering.

The interior follows Solaris's signature bleached oak design and comprises three full-size double cabins and two heads, with a bright salon featuring an L-shaped seating area and a well-appointed galley with Corian countertops. The forward cabin includes an island berth with ensuite shower. Additional accommodation features include extensive sail storage forward and a large lazarette aft, plus a dinghy garage with a new Aermarine 240 tender powered by a Torqeedo engine.

The boat underwent a comprehensive refit that included engine service with new turbo and clutch disks, complete standing rigging inspection with ultrasonic testing, new halyards and sheets, replacement of the boom vang pin and new Kevlar backstay, furling boom refurbishment, full hydraulic and winch servicing, teak deck restoration, new plexiglass windows, new 75-meter anchor chain, new engine battery, and a fresh mainsail by Millenium Sails. All systems are fully operational and regularly maintained.
