The 2015 X-Yachts Xc 35 is a 35-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat recognized for its balance of performance and seaworthiness. Built with the same design philosophy as larger X-Cruising models, this boat combines blue-water capability with responsive sailing characteristics. A single 30-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine provides auxiliary power, and the boat cruises comfortably at 7 knots under sail.
Below deck, accommodations center on two double cabins—one forward with a Vee berth and hanging lockers, the other aft to port. The main saloon features twin settees with a folding dining table, navigation station, and galley amidships. The galley includes a double stainless steel sink, top-loading refrigerator, gimballed stove with oven, and ample storage. A single head with shower completes the interior layout.
The cockpit is built around two full-length benches with laid teak sole and seating surfaces. Twin helm pedestals facilitate movement along the centerline, with a fold-down swim platform accessible between the aft helmsman seats. Main and jib winches are positioned on the forward coaming, while halyard winches and jammers are mounted on the cabin top. A full dodger with windshield shields the companionway and working areas. Raymarine electronics include chart plotter, VHF, i70 sailing instruments, autopilot, AIS transceiver, and radar installed in 2021.
Equipment includes new North sails from 2022, all running rigging replaced in 2020 with modern braided line, electric anchor windlass, Espar heating system, and comprehensive safety gear. The mast has been stored down each winter with full maintenance since the boat was new, and the bottom receives weekly diver cleaning and annual refinishing. Recent upgrades include new fuel gauge and sensors, head plumbing, masthead lights, and mainsail cover, all completed in 2024 and 2025.
