The Celtic 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built for open ocean cruising while remaining manageable for a small crew. With a 40-foot length and 24-foot beam, this 2016 model combines robust offshore design with thoughtful updates that enhance both sailing and living aboard. The redesigned helm station supports short-handed operation, and the deck layout includes a new davit platform and molded bimini ceiling for shade and weather protection.
Below deck, the boat offers four cabins and two heads. The forward and aft cabins are generously proportioned, and the salon features extended seating with a wider sliding door opening. Additional storage has been integrated throughout, and the heads have been redesigned for improved functionality.
The boat is powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines rated at 60 horsepower each. Recent equipment additions include solar panels, a wind turbine, and lithium house batteries installed in 2022. A watermaker, full cockpit enclosure, and air conditioning support extended cruising. The tender and outboard were replaced in 2023, and the solar system was upgraded in 2024. A dinghy tender is included.
