2016 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 519

The 2016 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 519 is a 51-foot fiberglass sloop designed by Philippe Briand, offering strong performance and comfortable accommodation for cruising. Powered by an 80-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine with a cruising speed of 6.5 knots, the yacht features a shoal-draft 6-foot performance keel and in-mast furling mainsail for ease of handling. The boat draws just 6 feet, making it suitable for shallow-water exploration.

The three-cabin, two-head layout centers on a private owner's quarters forward. The saloon includes gimbaled three-burner stove and oven, microwave, and extensive galley provisions. Entertainment and navigation electronics are comprehensive: twin Raymarine Axiom Pro 9 multifunction touchscreen displays with WiFi, Quantum radar, p70s autopilot with wireless iPhone control, AIS 650 transceiver, Ray50 VHF, and a Bose sound system with saloon subwoofer and cockpit speakers.

Power and water systems reflect serious cruising capability. A 7.5 kW Onan generator, 360 GPD watermaker with solar charging, and a house bank of four lithium-ion batteries (400 amp) support extended passages. Fresh water toilets, a 12-volt refrigerator with freezer compartment, separate drink cooler, and electric drive for the transom platform enhance daily operation. A bow thruster aids maneuvering.

Additional equipment includes a Highfield aluminum RIB tender with 15 hp Yamaha outboard, stand-up paddleboard, and a unique fold-down swim platform. Memory foam mattresses have been recently installed, and all systems are reported operational.
