The 2016 Nautitech 40 Open is a 40-foot catamaran with a 22.67-foot beam, delivering the stability and spaciousness that define the design. Powered by dual 60-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engines, the boat cruises efficiently at 6.5 knots. The hull is fiberglass construction built to withstand extended voyaging.
Below deck, three staterooms accommodate six people comfortably. The aft stateroom features a queen berth measuring 62 inches wide by 79 inches long, while the forward stateroom has a 61-by-75-inch queen. Two heads each include separate showers and electric toilets. The enclosed cockpit has settee seating that can sleep two additional guests if needed, and new cushions have been added fore and aft. A leather dinette serves as the main social gathering space.
The interior is outfitted with LED lighting, 12-volt fans, and diesel cabin heating with a cockpit outlet. All opening deck hatches are fitted with screens. The engines were replaced in 2019 to meet EPA compliance standards. The boat is designed by Marc Lombard and was recognized as a 2016 winner for Best Multi-Hull in Cruising World and Best Boat in Sail magazine.
