The 2016 Sabre 38 Salon Express is a downeast motor yacht built on proven design principles and modern marine engineering. Her hull form combines traditional Maine boat-building aesthetics with contemporary vee-hull geometry optimized for pod propulsion. Twin Volvo diesel engines deliver 600 horsepower through pod drives, which reduce noise, improve fuel efficiency, and enhance maneuverability in confined spaces. The yacht is equipped with full electronics, a generator, heating and air conditioning, a Hide A Davit system, and an AB Marine tender with 15 hp Honda outboard.
The main salon features an open layout that flows seamlessly with the raised cockpit, separated by just five inches. A large U-shaped settee with a fold-over table accommodates multiple guests, while forward-facing seating works well underway. To starboard, aft of the Stidd helm seat, a long cabinet houses an electric-lift television and storage. The cockpit's aft section opens with drop-down windows and a swing door, connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces for entertaining or cruising.
